When you can find a non- Bretty South African wine, savor it fully, this terroir is multifaceted.
One of my favorite stories grapes - The Pinotage - a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, created around 100 years ago,so that SAfrica could have a grape varietal of their own.
A nose of elegant pipe tobacco, bright cherry, gooseberry and light tannin. A nice Pinotage for the uninitiated.

This a great showcase of a grape that doesn’t always have a good rep. Certainly on the second day this wine was showing very well rounded and harmonious characteristics. Very fruit-forward with a pleasant scent. Would definitely buy again.

Second time with this wine, and still really liking it. Different and good value.

Drank 6/1/2022, our first in-home pinotage. Loved it, a little more body than a Willamette pinot noir, still paired perfectly with a grilled king salmon.

Ripe dark fruit, sweet at the entry, good balance, tight tannin, medium long finish. Very well made wine.

slightly sharp... perhaps just a year or two too young... still delicious with a rare Coco Rump at Fiamma Grill!

Dull, deep ruby colour, legs.

Clean, with medium(+) intensity. This wine is developing. Secondary aromas of roast coffee, smoke, chocolate, charred wood. Also stewed black fruit (blackberry,
black cherry), some dried fruit (prune, fig), pungent spice (licorice, white pepper). Some developed aromas of
meat, tobacco, forest floor, leather.

Dry, with medium(+) acidity, medium(+) tannin, full-bodied, high alcohol. Long finish.

Very good quality, can drink it now but has potential for further ageing.
