I always enjoy drinking this one — it is spicy yet subdued and unusual. Reminds me of Christmas.

Another great vintage of this Walla Walla Syrah. More austere than prior vintages. Light ruby color and a bit lighter bodied. Violets, Forrest Floor and stewed red fruit on the nose. Dried Red berry flavors with hints of tobacco, earth, smoked meat and black olives. Good balance on the medium finish. Bold and powerful but there is also an interpretation of an old world style. Polished and elegant. Give a long decant. Set up for prolonged aging. Revisited in May 2022. Aging beautifully. An absolutely fantastic wine! Revisited again in February 2024. Still spectacular!

This is delish. September means syrahs outside in the evening chill with a good book are back. A thinking wine with violets and baking spices in the nose, and then assertive dark but bright fruit and tannins that are so so good in well made WA syrahs like this.

K’s entry level. Unimpressed. Maybe their higher end Syrahs live up to the hype?

Big, bold, easy to drink. Full bossy flavor. Not complex. Solid. Worth purchasing and drinking. 2016
