Sipping Fine Wine

Made from Macabeu, Xarel·lo and Parellada grapes, bright pale gold color with a frothy creamy mousse, small rapid bubble flow with a steady stream. Aromas and flavors of apple and citrus with toasty notes, integrated, nice mouthfeel, elegant long finish. Great value as an exceptional alternative to French Champagne.

I'm honestly really surprised this isn't more highly rated on here. IMO, this is possibly the best sub-$20 traditional method bottle of bubbles I've been able to find thus far. This kicks the SHIT out of most of the larger Champagne houses basic cuvées for a third of the cost. Bruised yellow apple, toasty brioche, crushed chalk, a bit of nutmeg, some pleasant oxidative nuttiness that comes off as toasted walnuts to me, pastry dough, and just a bit of lemon curd action as well. It's a Brut Nature so it's very dry with sizzling acidity, although I wouldn't describe it as austere, really. Fine bead of bubbles gives a nice, creamy texture. Honestly, like, it's almost ridiculous to get this level of quality in a $16.99 bottle of bubbles. Stock up if you can find it. Always happy when I pop a bottle of this stuff.
