This is a fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Paso Robles. Easy drinking and spicy at this point.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Showing red and black fruits with vanilla, licorice, cedar, earth, peppercorn, leather, tobacco, chocolates and coffee.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

Showing great complexity with a smooth mouthfeel. So pleasant and enjoyable by itself, and really gorgeous after 3 hours of airtime.

This 23 year old is not going to get any better with time, but it is delicious now. I just love these aged Bordeaux blends.

Interesting, elegant and rich. Fruit forward and extracted.

I've had a younger vintage of the Reserve a few years ago, and it is very consistent. Nice to see these quality wines out of Paso Robles.

Robert Parker 91 points.

A blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc and 19% Merlot. Aged in French oak barrels for 33 months (60% new). Unfiltered and unfined.

14% alcohol by volume.

94 points.

$180.

Ripe 2010, just sumptuous. Layer of blackberry, plum, pencil lead, prune . No flaws.

This might be the heaviest empty wine bottle I’ve ever held. Must be the 100% new French oak.

On the Lawn at Tanglewood for our final evening of the season, pre & post-season the BSO fills the Lawn with Popular Artists. Tonight we're relaxing with Ben Harper and Troy Andrews, aka 'Trombone Shorty'. A lively show is ahead, fingers crossed we're trending more towards the New Orleans funk tonight.

Nose has black cherry buttercream, moist earth, fermented blackberry, cigar box and blueberry skin.

Palate has boysenberry, blackberry, cedar plank and dry earth. Medium-long finish. Decanted +4 hours, yet still needs air and years, future bottles should be 2023+

84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, but 100% deliciousness on a standout CA vintage, Paso Robles fruit, yum yum yum yum!

Too heavy and cloying to be enjoyable. I felt like a brick had hit my stomach after a few initial sips. Fruit is there but unbalanced and harsh.

Surprisingly unimpressed with this wine. Confused with the structure with the acidity and high notes of alcohol.
