A drier cava with crisp apple flavor and mice spritz. Very lovely.

Very compelling vineyard-specific "white pinot" made from 100% Pinot Noir with 0% skin contact. Bouquet redolent of lychee, white melon, pear, wet stone (yes, Pinot Noir!) with a round, refreshing finish. Really unique. Only 2 barrels made but not sold out as Delectable notes-contact winemaker www. ellugarwines.com — 10 months ago
Not as big and bold as expected from David T'a comment below, but we are sipping the 2012. Very drinkable-not tight and tannins softer than expected. Balanced dark fruits and earth-pairing well with meat pie and lamb. Drinking at Azienda Il Casale near Pienza with killer view of the Mount Ariata.

Fine perlage, rounder than Champagne, fresh finish.

Lighter bodied than expected with dusty rose and forest floor on the nose. Good acidity and moderate tannins with dried cherry and raspberry fruit flavors. 2012 received 94 points from James Suckling, I believe. Excellent pairing with Toma restaurant rack of lamb in pomegranate glaze (Santa Barbara). — 5 months ago
Round smooth mouthfeel even without malolactic fermentation. Enjoying with amazing lunch prepared by chef Thomas Daly at Miraflores Winery restaurant.
