Beautiful sweet aromas of warm brown sugar, graphite, and black cherries. Similar on the palate with vanilla and sugar plums on the long finish. Not a hard edge to this wine. Silly smooth tannins. Awesomeness in a bottle. What u get when u take a vineyard that shares a fence line with screaming eagle and Russell Bevan as the wine maker. This hush hush wine has minuscule production

Jul 18th, 2015A very nice representation of the 2011 vintage and a start among valley 2011 wines, this wine has less forward fruit and drinks more like a fine paullic with ashen notes and currant berries as well as some hints of forest floor.

Dec 6th, 2014Question: What do u get when u combine a vineyard right next to screaming eagle + russell bevan as wine maker? Answer: An estate that is working their way towards perfection. That's all I will say. This is the best up and coming winery u have never heard of. The Trail 2010 has beautiful finesse and depth . Blueberries and flowers on the nose yield to a complex and velvety palette of sugar plums and toasted cedar marshmallow with a smooth and long finish.
