It is Friday night and tonight I have opened the 2007 Joseph Swan Vineyards Great Oak Vineyard Pinot Noir.

On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, hibiscus, allspice, licorice, vanilla, oak and a good earthiness.

On the palate there is cherry, raspberry, strawberry, allspice, vanilla, light oak and a nice earthiness.

This wine is medium bodied with a fresh and vibrant mouthfeel, medium acidity and a medium fine tannins that leads to a long red fruit earthy finish. A wonderful way to start the weekend. Have a healthy and safe weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Don’t be put off by the color - should age well.

Young, primary and stemmy, a wine with a decade or two to integrate and show completely. Black fruits, good density, bright and lively, but the stem affectation trumps somewhereness and vineyard currently.

Going back to buy another bottle to age for 10 years. This is a dead ringer for a burg, clearly great and will have a lot more to offer in a few years.

Beautifully aged and easily drinkable with Thanksgiving dinner. Savory warm spices, strawberry. Medium-low tannin.

2012. Pale garnet, rust colored wine. Opened up for 30 minutes and aeration recommended. Dried strawberry, cloves, medium tannins, high acidity. Earthiness and dirt (not in a bad way!)
