The fruit on the nose veers toward sour but still has jammy notes to it. Black pepper and chervil and other herb notes also are present, but the fruit goes tart on the palate, and the pepper and herbs take a backseat. Joseph Swan is a favorite producer of zinfandel of mine, but this Bastoni Vineyard version is not my favorite.

Bigger not as refined Zin, kinda drank like a port wine, not a huge fan from a great producer.

a beautiful expression of zinfandel a clearly tremendous wine that opens up nicely over an hour. Mike thank you for sharing such a quality wine!

Lovely wine. Not overdone very understated and elegant. Floral nose. Brambly pomegranate with cherry and mocha notes, violets with the hint of wet forest floor. Fabulous. I think that it could use a few years in the bottle but otherwise it’s drinking wonderfully.
