Corton Grand Cru Pinot Noir

A bit hard at first (Corton) but exploded in the glass. Full of finesse, elegance and detail. A fabulous bottle. 1985 is the year..

1978. Not much left in the tank. Has a wee bit of red and blue fruit. But falls off back of palate fast. Acids are barely hanging on.

Previously reviewed in Jan. This bottle was much better. More complexity and boldness with longer decant than I had seen before. Much better reflection of grand cru Pinot

Med dark ruby. Dark fruit nose mostly dark cherry. Although smooth with dark fruit notes on the palate it didn’t finish well. Lacked the complexity and fullness I was hoping for in a grand cru

Ok but disappointing for this house and grand cru

Light garnet color with an orange rim. Soil, earth and sour red fruits. Rustic palate with red fruit and leaves. Long finish. Delicious.

Charming fragrance, elegant robe. But rather short in mouth
