Nothing too exciting but it's built well with some sweetness to the fruit. Nice balance and benefited from an hour or so with the cork pulled. #beaune #closdesmouches #josephdrouhin #burgundy #rouge #red

Opened nicely but too much oak for the lack of concentration. Both bottles possible had some fermentation post bottling as well.

Some didn’t like this, but it was a top wine of the evening imo. The fruit is ripe and rich, but still fresh. It is full bodied, but soft, and is quite open. Some beanie austerity was present.

Mild reduction blew off after twenty minutes in the decanter. The wine was dark ruby in colour and offered violet, red fruit, raspberry, pine needles, smoke and a hint of vanilla on the nose. On the palate the wine showed red fruit, red cherry, raspberry, cola, iron, earth, some coffee, a hint of cocoa and mineral notes, paired with medium-plus acidity, ripe, medium-level tannin, a good mouthfeel and superb length. The light- to medium-bodied, very balanced wine was seamless and almost weightless on the palate, with good concentration, yet light on its feet. The discrete oak was well-integrated. Great wine, very seductive; we liked it a lot! It paired perfectly well with Germany’s victory in their first match in the Soccer World Championship :))) 92+

Delectable got it wrong. It's actually the Pinot. Very good but don't think it warrants the price.
