A blend of 90% Malbec 10% Cab Sauv, oak aged, Ruby with aromas of pronounced berry fruits and floral spice nose. On the palate flavors of black cherry, currants and blackberry fruit with herb, cacao, cedar and pepper spice. Firm soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, long finish ending with fruit, oak & spice. Nice!

I love that there’s already a movement in Argentina to dial back over-the-top Malbec. Remember Australian Shiraz?
This 2013 from Sebastien Zuccardi pays homage to his grandfather José. Fermented in concrete vats and then aged in large, neutral oak foudres. The fruit is noticeably black, rich and ripe, yet there’s a measured amount of restraint, and it’s that mid-weight approach that allows for a plethora of floral and mineral notes to shine. Extraordinary for the $ (just under $40).

We had the 2019 Vintage on 2/13/24 at Fervor in Buenos Aires. The wine needed about 15 minutes of air. The tannins smoothed out. Blackberry, plum and spice. Full bodied. Fruit forward. Very good

July 15, 2019. TTW Wine of the month for June 2019. I rarely drink a Malbec (unless I’m in Argentina!) as I normally don’t care for them, but this was an exception. Full bodies and complex, there is a lot going on here. Ripe black fruit (prune, deep plum) with some mocha and spice. Very interesting wine.

Wonderful fruit and richness. A top-notch Malbec, albeit with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Earth on the nose. Hint of smoke or tobacco on the palette, black pepper, nice wine!
