Mes Vieilles Vignes Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay

First in our Thanksgiving dinner wines.

Running out of gas in the bubbles department, but filled to the brim with body, personality, complexity, and earthiness.

Austere but focused.

Restrained considering the vintage. Citrus, pit fruit, quinine, very expressive but still tight

Aromas of ripe apple , stone fruits with a touch of brioche, minerals and vanilla nuances . On the palate there is excellent depth and richness from the old vines , perfectly balanced dosage and lots of ripe apple , saline and minerals in the palate . Very impressive especially considering the price tasted out of a magnum .

It Dhont suck! Racy, yet rich. With pear, hazelnut and chalk

Loved this. Great freshness, huge power right now and would age forever. Also not backwards or un-fun. Powerful, non-oxidative Blanc-de-Blancs with appropriate dosage. I just wish I had a case. You don't see these wines as much as you should.

Verve, tension, whatever you want to call the electric nature of this wine, it's there. Pear, apple, chalk, spice, lots of hell yes.

Beautifully complex spiced ginger pear and a finish that went on and on... So good!
