Yes it’s a mid Chard but almost ten years in and I really like it.

Really solid Russian River Chardonnay. The light golden color is inviting and precedes a rather spicy nose with strong lemon and yellow apple aromas. Medium bodied, featuring some VERY apparent ginger, yellow pear, and a light butter. Totally pleasant.

Medium lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with cedar and honeysuckle notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear, lemon zest and melon, with mineral, creamy oak and sweet spice. Crisp and fresh, with lively acidity, good balanced on medium+ finish ending with fruit and floral oak notes. Drink now!

Tres Beautiful nose 👃👃👃
Caramel apple-banana brûlée top notes, pear and spice underneath, still-pert lemon zest and peach custard, too. Palate delivers that Cali-leonine body -ie big! - but with enough brisk acidity to keep things more than decent. Long, with flavors that echo the nose and all around beautiful balance. Drinking super well at moment, near its peak and rewarding this bit of bottle age with plenty of secondary characteristics. PLUS:: #winebling (yes, there are some tartrate crystals, folks - all just adding to the allure - game on!)

Golden straw with aromas of stone and citrus fruits. The palate had flavors of apple, pear, lemon zest and melon, complex, mineral tones with soft creamy oak and sweet spice. The wine was fresh, a bit creamy, with vibrant crisp acidity, well balanced on a long finish. Not a typical CA Chard, with some mid-term aging potential. Outstanding!

Intense minerality, lots of fresh squeezed citrus, green melon, pear skin, quince and butter cookie with some floral gardenia notes. Minerality carries to the palate with a little of the white gummy bear thing I get from Kistler. I was always under the impression this was a butter bomb, but not at all. Well balanced and great acidity.
