Sour cherries with great acidity velvety tannins. What a crazy mouth feel. Dried cranberries but softened by mushrooms. Thank you Matt!!

Last Friday was our normal 4th Friday happy hour at the storage facility, but since this month had 5 Fridays, why not keep the party going?!
I saw cab franc and immediately went to this. Hello gorgeous! I haven't had much from Jonata, but I know the pedigree. Black tea, black cherry, toasted almonds, blackberries, cassis, small bit of oak at this point. Stunning! @Carl Fischer

Oct 10th, 2016Yogi Berra logic here so excuse me if this does not make sense - I like what I like and I like it - cab franc blend - awesome wine - structure nose power like that of a great right bank beautiful Burgundy- RP rates this a 97 and I agree - will get better as it ages but fantastic now - color is derp purple - nose is ripe blackberry with flavors that display ripe, open blueberry and plum - BIG SMILES all around

Plum, black cherry, savory, spices, wet earth, roses. M acid, body and round tannin. Tart cranberry, underripe red cherry. Balanced, complex with a long finish.

Blind Tasting MOT=92
Color: Garnet (little redder than bricks)
Nose: Amazing barnyard smell, I love that in a wine, initially thought South African or an aged wine. Bell peppers made me think cabernet franc and chalky
Palate: Smooth tannins, very enjoyable one of my favorites of the night.
Opinion: Loved this wine, solid enjoyable, could drink this all day.
Reveal: Only Jonata I have had before was the Todos, was very impressed with this and I might have to try some of the others sooner rather than later

2011 - always mr big stuff - this is the first vintage I detected any Cabernet Franc acuity! Slight dried herb - succulent middle - crunchy - slightly drying tannin.
