Dark gold color. Petrol nose with notes of apricot, stones, tan spice and a little honey. Fruit forward in the mouth but lacking acidity (although others picked up some). Great nose and silky texture.

Jun 20th, 2022Tasted blind. Dark yellow gold color. Similar nose to the wine next to it. More complex, more sweet, richer and seems older. Notes of honey and almond, petrol, apricot. My guess (which we have to throw out there before both bottles are revealed) is the 90 Trimbach CSH. It's the JJ Prum WSA Goldkap, which I guessed the other bottle to be. Was definitely more rich and the better of the two bottles tonight. Perfect compliment to the cold tomato gazpacho it’s served with.

Aug 16th, 2020M’s bday dinner (1/12). Tasted blind. Deep gold color. Heavy in the glass. Strong nose of apricot, stones, ripe orange, some sweet mango and petrol. Powerful, rich in the mouth but light acidity. Great sensory opener to start the evening.

May 27th, 2019Popped and poured because we were running out of beverage. Light gold. Exotic nose with notes of petrol, crushed stone, apricot and some honey. Gobs of fruit, rich in the mouth. Tons of acidity to match. These wines age effortlessly. BDay dinner 11/12.
