Graacher Himmelreich Spätlese Riesling

As much as I try to pair reds w the Thanksgiving meal #Riesling always seems to work best…and helps w keeping the turkey moist and adding an extra element to the gravy base 😉

On its own appreciate it for its balance of sweetness w just enough acidity and salinity ~ minerality w a nod to slate and gunflint smoke ~ and an array of fruit ranging from quince and peach to lime and pineapple

Good balance between acidity and sweetness. Lychee, tropical fruit, and some mineral notes. Should hold for some time.

Heavenly sweet Riesling. Full of suple honey and orange peel finish on the deep acidic finish.

In magnum

Much deeper and riper fruit on the nose - definitely petrol and very ripe fruit. Deep and resounding fruit on the palate. Sweetness comes through but a serious and persistent vein of acidity keeps things lively.
