J.J. Adeneuer
Salute !

Surprisingly austere and tannic fine tannins light in the mouth, but it's also comforting in a similar way that good scotch is comforting after it goes down.

Erst ein kleines Stinkerle, mit Luft schöne Würze und Tiefgang offenbarend, hat noch Potential

Oct 14th, 20172012 vintage. Medium ruby, edging towards garnet, hue. Medium intensity of ripe cherry fruit, kirsch and nougat, with coffee notes. There's some leather and earth. Interesting - round and ripe, as one would expect from the unusually warm far northern Ahr (Germany) appellation, rather than the savoury spice and green notes of your typical Spatburgunder. On the palate, medium plus acidity, high alcohol - slightly unbalances the wine - good texture, medium plus concentration. Medium minus tannins - fairly round and attractive. There's a sweet finish which is reasonably long. Still very young, but I suspect this will improve with bottle age. Enjoyable! Drink now until 2022+

Nov 7th, 2016This wine has aged quite nicely and melted into a harmonious glass of Pinot. Oak has completely integrated now. Delicate notes of bright cherry, fresh cut herbs, animal fur, underbrush, potpourri, dried orange peel. To be honest, I actually liked this Pinot... Shhhh.
