Aromas of lavender, tangerine and grilled peaches on the nose (and a whiff of some propane notes). The flavors of pink grapefruit finish out the palate. Tightly wound core with the acid really showing itself too much.

Strong, apparently award laden branding, delivering on an interesting, enjoyable wine. This higher altitude, single vineyard Riesling was vinified dry and is well defined and fruit lead, delivering Riesling properties of tropical, stone fruit and citrus, with the beginnings of a developmental, smoky, petrol note. Amusingly, this Jim Barry wine was the lucky recipient of the Jim Barry Trophy, among other badges. Pays to look closely!
