Always so classy at Galeyrand this 2014 is in a great spot and shows the classicism of 2014 wonderfully. Terrific complexity and so juicy with wonderful texture and richness. Nose is earthy with damson berries. Really pure. Wonderful tannins and structure. So well made. Terrific terrific wine.

I love this wine. Nose has sweet spice, oozy dark cherry, moist clean gravelly earth. Bright and minerally in the mouth, with fantastic acids and clean cherry fruit. Pure Burgundian fun. Great value.

Jan 16th, 2019Stunning nose. Light color for a 15. Big big cherries. Licorice, sweet yet earthy. On point. Wafting. Almost a citrus element as well. Gorgeous. Sappy, sweet with an overflow of pure bursting berry/cherry fruit and lithe tannins. Ethereal. What a talent this guy is.

May 11th, 2018Sexy fucking wine. Sexy is overused but I’d get in a hastily planned 3 month relationship with this wine that would end in bitter heartbreak. Gorgeous nose. Flowers, big cherries, lipstick vibe. Palate is ripe and opulent with lovely sucrosity and wonderful freshness. Silky tannins and great mouthfeel. Very 15 but also very alluring. Long finish. Wonderful mineral drive and very complex. Great today.

Leaner in the mouth than the nose suggests. But juicy and minerally, with little tannin and a "c'mon, take another sip" vibe.
UPDATE: After 2 hours in the decanter, Fuck Trump.

Jun 13th, 2016Maria dinner 5/30/21 very good Burg but noted some tannic almost woodsy notes that threw off the balance somewhat though it got better once opened but it got drank up pretty fast! Suspect it’d have improved.

Palate is fresh cherry fruit. Not super complex but so drinkable and so well made.
Maybe some sweet wood on the finish.
For what this is it’s about the best it can be. Terroir is ok but brilliant winemaking.
