I don’t think the 14’s or 15’s are aging well here. Nose has spice, ethereal cherries, gaminess, some heat. One dimensional. Palate is juicy and whole hella lot of heat. 13% and tastes like 16%. Wtf? Air only makes these worse. What a disappointment.

Nose has some Brett. Right out of gates it’s overwhelming. It slowly integrates. Hope it goes away. Never had brett on galeyrand before. It’s pretty bretty after 10 minutes. Some spice. But stinky. Too stinky. Palate is kind of hot, out of balance and has short fruit. This is a messed up bottle. Ugh. Had much better.

Down from 8.0 to 7.4. The nose was so bad after air and the palate also got infected. The wine made you dry heave after a sip. Off bottle.

Gorgeous. So elegant and lithe. Sappy. Red fruited. Meaty. Beautiful acids and freshness. Terrific purity of fruit.

Stunning. Brilliant. Super aromatic nose that screams out of the glass with spice, dark plums and big red cherries. Such purity. Mineral, floral and super cherry and just crazy aromas only reserved for top Burg talents. Palate is just oozing with sappy red fruits, amazingly opulent texture, richness, fat, energy and big tannins. Amazingly juicy and explosive wine. So much there. So sick. Genius genius wine.

Just concluded our annual Fall seclusion into the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again.

Smokey, vine fire, earthy cherry on the nose. 4hr decant brings mineral-biased cherries, dirty barnyard fruit, yum!

Reminds me why I love this village. Tart red and black fruit (more red). Lovely

So delicious and approachable right now. Bright garnet in the bowl. Pleasant nose. Soft on the palate with red fruit and all that good burgundy stuff. Ok finish. All in all. - really nice

This is the 3 year I buy this wine. Ripe plums so of the bat different from many Pinots. Then blackberry, plum, chalk on the palate very slightly (fun) bitter aftertaste, long. This is just a good vineyard which produces year after year a very good wine.

Dark plums and cherries on the nose. Some nicely framed spice and earth but a bit shy. But also very precise and detailed and one can sense there is much more. Ripe, juicy and very meaty. Terrific freshness and purity. Very sappy and dense yet elegant. Deep plum and black cherries echo on the finish. This is a big boy and needs a few hours but is irresistible on the palate right if s bit muted aromatically.
