Rock It Like a Redhead Shiraz

This Aussie Shiraz is acidic, sharp on the tongue , and yet syrupy for body. It reminds one of offerings from Yellowtail or Rosemount. It is decent enough for those who enjoy that style. My wine refused a second glass 😿

NakedWines.com label which I know gets a lot of snobby nose turning, and I think it is usually well deserved. This is actually a mostly ok offering though for $10 and having had way worse stuff for 3x more I’m inclined to give it a nod. Some spiciness and heat, dark fruits. Vague and simple entry level stuff for an entry level price.

It's a Shiraz not Pinot Grigio.

This Shiraz is thick and jammy, with dense, chewy tannins and rich plum and currant flavors. We drank it as a cocktail wine and it was a bit on the sweet side, on the order of a Lodi Zinfandel.

Balanced and smooth. Are w chocolate pie.

The nose is jammy with a hint of smoke. The palate has blackberries with smoke in the finish. Great with barbecue.

Lovely right out of the bottle. Vanilla, coffee and toffee :)

Smooth, rich berries. Mild bitter, tartness on initial taste transitions to a velvety smooth dark cherry fruit that is lightly sweet with a lingering dryness. Pairs well with spicy food

Too sweet, I don't dig the strawberry tones.
