Les Caillerets Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

Took over an hour to really start showing its stuff. Would decant or wait a few years before popping again.

Very nice. Perhaps a few more new world notes at this stage, but the oak was balanced.

Soft and elegant hints of oxygen Carmel cooked peaches. Elegant very approachable

Very tightly would from a magnum, wooden and reductive tones dominate right now. An amazing wine is deep in there. Don’t even think about open magnums of this for another few years.

This is a beast. Dense.

Stupendous and still a baby, though very enjoyable now this was ALL #terroir, with vivid fruit and minerality, not a trace of oak.
