After 4 days of tasting it finally woke up out of its reductive state and showed its origin and quality. I have one more bottle that I’ll age at least another 5 years.

Quite outstanding and quite young. Lithe power and concentration. Best in several years.

Showed more of a deep/round side than most Pillot bottlings in this vintage. Fine to drink now and over the next two years.

Easy drinking. A little too buttery for me. Could have used more acid to brighten it up.

Very nice. Wet gray stone, damp orange peel, roasted sunflower seeds, some lilies and some key lime pie on the nose. Palate is a bit crumbled, nice acidity, but a bit too centered, I wished for a "wider", longer wine. Otherwise creamy and quite tropical.

My favorite of the Chardonnays we tried yesterday. Well rounded oak balanced the fruit.

A beautiful balance of minerality, fruit, body & acidity. Everything I love about Chassagne-Montrachet
