Jan 19th, 2015Not quite as awesome as his '12 Cote du Py but let's be real...old vine Morgon don't mess around.

Feb 17th, 2014My 2nd, group 2nd, initially quite youthful, showing ripe, really grapey, youthful fruit, later it showed some coffee aromas (think coffee beer stouts/porters), which was weird as heck (but 2 other tasters picked up the same aromatic note on their own), this seems VERY RIPE for Burgaud (2009 vintage), but it all works!?!?

Jul 7th, 2023This was my 5th, group 4th, initially I loved this, but as I aerated the fruit dropped, tannic structure emerged, and it seemed merely good, not great?!?!

With some air this went from unsubstantial to lush and cherry-fruited. A nice little Morgon from one of my all-time favorite vintages in the region.
