Jean-Marc Burgaud
Morgon Corcelette Gamay
Morgon, Beaujolais, Burgundy, France

Another really pretty wine that isn’t trying to move mountains, it’s just downright good. Awesome balance of violets, black pepper, and dark berries with nothing out of place. Soft, powdery tannins. Suckling gave this a 98, which seems gratuitous, but the wine is delicious nonetheless and screw the point system (as I rate 9.1).

An exception to my recent string of not ready for prime time/drinking Morgons. This has enough soul & snap on opening but also can go much much longer. Not exorbitant either, for under 25$ on sale
