Les Fées Brunes Crozes-Hermitage Syrah

Nicely aromatic. Straightforward and medium bodied, with wild berry fruit, floral notes and a hint of tar on the finish. Missing some stuffing on the mid palate, this comes off as a little too polished.

Dark fruit, black currant, chocolate, the blood hint of Syrah, medium bodied and great freshness and elegance.

The Colombo family does a fine job in other appellations than Cornas, as with this sappy, energetic and highly perfumed Crozes-Hermitage. Already showing intense blackberry and floral character, it will improve over the coming decade. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, April 2018)

Inky opaque purple med+ staining and tears...deep ripe aromas of black fruits, black berry, plum and cassis.
Meats olives and smoke for secondary... Savory and delicious med tannin finishing fairly smooth...

Medium plus ruby with black fruits and violets on the nose. Pepper notes and savory finish. Medium plus finish. Excellent crozes and very approachable for a 2014 Syrah.

Red and black currant, smoked meat, white pepper, dried herbs. Youthful and elegant.

Blueberries and earthy on the nose. Hmm. Blueberry Earth. Wasn't that a 60s band? Lol. Ahem. Delicate yet dark. Light tannins, ripe fruits. Quite nice, and I'm sure it'll open up nicely.

Surprisingly open, showing really well...black fruits/iron/saline/blood...harmonious and pure... Part of a five course tasting menu with wines, incredible!
