Jean-Luc Colombo
Les Abeilles de Colombo Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend

Love this wine/producer, but unfortunately, storage at the store was an issue(up rite for years), Wild fruit, prunes, spice, sherry, port, nice acid. Bummer about the storage, but still doing ok with a steak.

QPR is high. Fruit forward, slightly sweet (RS is detectable, but still acceptable).

Pretty critter label. Bees. Dark like black plums. Smells very fruity. Like hot strawberries and plum jam. Pure fruit though. Nothing new world ‘fruit soup’ in the nose. Flavors are smooth and easy. Has a plum and cherry streak. Dry enough. Just now too complex. It’s nice. Fresh and tasty. Just not as funky and strange as I like in the best of Cotes du Rhone. For a $6 Gross Out wine this is a winner though.
