I feel jetlagged reading what all my Delectable friends drank 3 days ago. I'm hanging out with this inexpensive GS (no M) blend on NYE. Can't really complain for the price. This is a cheerful CDR that would play nice with dinner guests. Juicy berries, red currant, herbs and baking spices. The bottle and label look... "fancy." How do they do it for $11?

Whiff of orange peel, spices, berries. Tastes as it smells, with a bit more on the spices, a tiny bit earthier than the nose, Decent. Simple, but content.

Basic CDR. Grenache/Syrah/ Mourvèdre Blend. Red and black berry aromas with hints of earth and herbs. Lots of red berry and sour cranberry flavors with hints of stones and pepper spice. Vibrant acidity. Reasonable with solid QPR.

Well put together, straightforward CDR. Already enjoyable young. No rough edges, maybe a touch flabby. Good with braised shanks over polenta.
