Lovely nose. Classic Fabien. Saline and seashells galore. High toned and focused. Lime pith but massively mineral. Palate is so pure, so loaded with fresh mineral and seashells it almost comes across as dry Riesling! Palate is super pure, sappy and clean with a lovely compact quality and terrific intensity. Finishes elegant and mineral. A smokeshow as always.

Premier cru quality and character. Brothy, wet old sea shell, pungent chalk dust, lemon juice, straw, apple. Crisp and flavorful. Lots of Chablis earthiness in the mouth. Fairly long finish. Decent acids.

Jul 27th, 2019Beautiful nose right out of the gate. Ripe, straw-inflected Chardonnay, and massive amounts of limestoney, seashelly minerality. Feels more like a 15 than a 14 stylistically, as it has some weight in the mouth and the acidity is a little more gentle like 15. These are going to be lots of fun over the next 18 months. Very extroverted.

Jul 22nd, 2018Perfect for a sticky NYC day. Really evocative nose. Sally selling seashells on the seashore. Lime zest. A hint of richness. 14 is always so damn good. Lovely richness allied with nervy minerality and such precision. Terrific length, depth and sap for a basis Chablis. What a great wine.

Jun 9th, 2018The ‘14 remains the quintessential Chablis AOC. So fresh, like just-squeezed crisp Chardonnay fruit poured over fragrant, chalky limestone. What it lacks in depth and weight compared to the top premier crus, it makes up for in sheer exuberance and freshness. Love this wine.

Feb 14th, 2018Nose has lemon oil, straw, green apple, seashell-like minerality. Rich and full, very savory in style with loads of saline dark mineral notes. Acidity is a bit low, so drink this over the short term for its intensity.

Nice gold color mostly Gwen apple , just slight hint of pear distant aroma of peach .. acid is med + but not searing like I would expect.. really easy drinking Chablis
