La Croix des Rameaux Brouilly Gamay

Not a generous bottle. Reduced and not very expressive. Concentrated and rich material, but not giving it up tonight even with decant.

Called Beaujolais, but thought Morgon. Can definitely use some air to let reductiin/bret/naturalness chill out. Had after cake, so my palate was screwed up.

2013. More berry, brooding, deeper, and fresh and clean finish.

Outstanding gamay. Funky nose. Silky texture. Great acidity; tart cherry. Funky finish. Exactly what I wanted from this wine.

Blueberries, mild notes of mint leaves, light pepperiness. Clear fruit and all the usual beaujolais joy but fuller and more intense than I'm used to.

Spiced red cherry, graphite, forest brush and bramble. Supple tannins, bright acidity. A complex Beaujolais.

Balanserat. Röda bär. Krydda.
