Jura red blends are described in Wink Lorch's Jura book as "reminiscent of Burgundies from another of age." This one is also reminiscent of an extremely good Beaujolais. Old oak, pale colour, red fruits, and a grainy, savoury quality. Light bodied but intense, it's great with chicken and roast veg. (2010)

I dont have much experience with these wines, but now I cant wait to find more! Wild berries and brush. Sage and crumbly loam. Just a whiff of burned leaves. Supple fruit in a taut frame, light and lithe on the palatte. Light but present tannins that grip as hard as their tiny hands will let them, but none the less are easily escapable. Very fun wine, good value!

2010 Bourdy Rouge. Trousseau coming through more than the pinot noir or Poulsard on this. These wines are built for the long haul. Me thinks a day of air will help.
