Côtes du Jura Chardonnay

Nutty and marzipan and exotic citrus and wet stones. Long vanilla finish.

A beautiful funk

Vinegary floral rose violet leather sandalwood and red fruit. Pretty funky but I liked it

Red blend, not the white.

Decanted. 2009

15th generation wine maker. 100% chard. Light flor flavours but more light a slightly funky Chablis.

Red fruit, low body, grippy tannins, savory finish. Geeky in a good way

Really enjoyed at Babette's. Hard to find so bought a bunch of bottles. A very dry clean Chardonnay

All primary fruit much like a Beaujolais

Underripe redcurrant, cranberry, just a touch of cellar funk. Body is thin, acidity high, with some puckering tannins - might be too austere for some, but I love this profile. I would be curious in trying this with a bit more age, say 10-20 years. I’m impressed, bright fruit without excessive funk and sprinkle of tannins, could be a great wine with a bit more age.
