Simple and satisfying. A very good cookout wine (though I had it with Chinese takeout tonight). Lots of deep dried and fresh strawberry and cherry fruit in the nose. A slight herbal note tries to peek through. A big whack of fruit in the front of the palate, but dries and turns savory as the finish progresses. Not a lot of complexity but delivers a lot of flavor.

Not 2008 and only 30% Larner, but interesting in comparison. Alcohol sticking out at this point and it seems in a transitional place. No lack of fruit, but it's just a jumble of a wine right now.

These take forever to come around. Huge and enjoyable - like a St. Bernard puppy. Wondering if it can survive the 15% ABV once it's otherwise mature...

I may be crazy, but drinking this in 2022, I love it. First day it had fruit with lots of acidity, but next day, has mellowed and is wonderful. Acids have receded, but fruit is dark and savory. Really like it!
