Didn't get a pic of the bottle, but I'm having the 2007 tonight. Ridiculous. People generally talk about the more savory aspects of these wines, but there is beautiful fruit, warmth and spice here, too. Crazy good even young.

Jan 3rd, 2015Sherry on the nose. The taste is very rough and hard to describe. Start line sherry with dryness and nuts, go on to some kind of animal and farmyard when it peaks a bit too much. Then it turns into paint and some kind of nice chemical notes. Rubbernotes and taste of horse.. Very different tastes and rough. 2001 vintage

Acquired taste but just wonderful. Great oxidation, sherry like but a lot more complexity.
