Dark ruby in color with a light ruby rim.

Fruity nose with blackberries, blueberries, oak, black currants, sweet cherries, licorice, spices, vanilla, chocolates, earth, mocha, and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, sweet plums, cherries, raspberries, vanilla, cedar, coffee, chocolates, earth, licorice, spices and peppercorn.

Nice length on the finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.

This California Cabernet always delivers a nice mouthfeel. well-balanced with mild complexity.

Needs 30 minutes to open up and show some tannins. Enjoyable by itself or with foods like BBQ steak.

This would be a good wine for parties or just to sip on all by itself.

Aged for 12 months in Oak barrels.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

On par with a Paso Cab, blackberry with smooth tannins. Can't beat the price.

Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.

Nice fruity nose with black currants, cherries, plums, earth, vanilla, licorice, oak, peppercorn, spices, chocolates, tobacco, caramel and coffee.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, prunes, dried figs, vanilla, earth, chocolates, cedar, leather, tobacco leaf, spices, wet stones and black pepper.

Medium plus in finish with firm, yet grainy tannins and tangy cranberries.

This Cabernet from Paso Robles is yummy right out of the bottle. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Not simple, but not overly complex either.
Better after an hour of airtime, and good for parties too.

A good replica of a Napa Cabernet at a lower price point.

I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers by the pool.

Aged for 12 months in Oak barrels.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

I don't think the vintage matters. This stuff is my favorite.

Tonight I went out and bought this wine at the request of a friend. I figured that what the heck, let's give it a go. I found it at a local grocery store for $14.99. I am keeping an open mind and will honestly try this Cabernet Sauvignon. I have found many nice wine at this price point so hopefully this won't disappoint. The nose is a little weak but I get black currant, stewed raisins, blackberry and some black pepper. On the first taste I get a watery mouth feel with blackberry, sweet plum, and cooking spice. I do get some oak and sandy tannins. All in all not to bad for the price point, something I would find at a wedding or a bar well wine. Sorry Jeff, I hope I didn't let you down too much.
