Gorgeous, rusty deep red color. Gorgeous legs. Deep dark fruit on the nose - black currant, cherry and a hint of vanilla. Silky smooth with a tiny bit of spice on the finish. Delicious! — 2 days ago
Dark purple in color with a short purple rim.
Light nose of blueberries, currants, plums, oak, licorice, spices, espresso, red candy, cola, vegetables, leather, earth, black tea and black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, smoke, tobacco leaf, vegetables, vinaigrette, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee and black pepper.
Long tangy finish with firm tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a young Syrah from Northern Rhône. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel and nice complexity.
Good by itself or with food. Better after 2 hours of airtime when it shows the tannins.
Still young and needs another 5 to 10 years of additional bottle time.
I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers, but it was really good with Brie cheese.
100% Syrah grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 6 months.
13% alcohol by volume.

Weekly Wine Committee. 1 sparkler, 3-4 whites, 3-4 reds and 1 dessert wine format. Served blind.
This was really faded and light in appearance. Lot of sediment. I guessed late ‘70s/early ‘80s port. More guessed early ‘70s. It tasted older than it was, actually. Old graham cracker, cocoa dusted dates, licorice and old, candied blackberries. Dusty. — 10 days ago
This is a sku made just for Whole Foods. Though it doesn’t specify, I’m nearly certain it’s their Cuvée Preference with a custom sticker. Equally good and severely underpriced on sale- $29 for Premiere Cru growers Champagne. Kermit Lynch import.
Pale rose gold with a greenish tint. Ubiquitous. Autolytic, red fruits, citrus, orchard fruits, plenty of minerals. Lemon, crusty bread, chalky limestone, and fresh red cherries. Stylish. Bold. Elegant.
Keep your eye out for the next sale. — 13 days ago

Black cherry, currant, smooth tannins, can’t go wrong — 9 days ago
Loads of bubbles, slutty brioche aroma though more lemony on palate. Notes of baked bread and good persistence keeps the lips coming back. Yummy! — 6 days ago
