Signature Paso Robles Caberner Sauvignon

The taste of cherry notes give this wine a delicious lite taste to it. The spice is just right! One of my favorites — 3 days ago

This 07 has aged well. I’ve been waiting for a few years for it to come up to top form. Perfect bottle for anniversary dinner. — 17 days ago

J. Schram Late Disgorged Brut Sparkling Blend 2000

Drinks like the big boys....because it is!!! Reviewed this wine about 5 months ago and although it was doing nicely, something in it seemed to wake up between then and now. I would give this a solid 95 today based on the second bottle opened tonight. Tiny bubbles. About 80% oxidative style, starting with brioche and bread pudding character with a little bit of green apple tart on the finish. Lovely. The last one did not seem to be nearly as complex. I think my third and final bottle this is doomed..... — 15 days ago

Any time these are opened, I have to tip my hat to @jesus g for introducing them to me earlier this year during our visit. Astounding examples of champagne. This is certainly in an oxidative state, and I love that. This was opened after a lunch in which a ‘96 Krug was opened, so oxidative champagne was the topic of the day. Notes of sherry, sea salt, honeycomb, and subtle ginger upfront before more toasty/yeasty notes take over the finish. Extremely good.

What a sick nose, forest floor, dead leave, sour cherry, mid season cherry, violets, spice, Palate is velvet, melty tannins, sweet fruit, insane acidity, so clean and balanced, amazing complexity, so pure, lovely finish. Screaming for duck confit. — 14 days ago
