Black cherry, ripe fruit on the nose. Great mouth feel.

The store salesman warned me it might have some horse blanket funkiness others would see as flaws. For a natural wine didn’t seem that way to me. Was filtered and compare with a natural Georgian wine, made this just taste like a standard European wine.

Reminded me of a mondeuse varietal from Savoie France. Characteristics include a semisweet tarty rouge framboise, that evenly coats the palate, acidic mouthwatering minerally aftertaste that keeps you wanting another sip. Tannins are there but not overwhelming.

Babic, first time tasting this varietal. I was expecting it to be like other Croatian reds: red fruit and PN like. This was mainly black fruit driven with a crisp acidity.

Definitely not a pop and pour. Upon first tasting it I noticed a pleasant dark fruit flavor, along with a very pungent fresh truffle/fungus flavor that lingered on the palate. Let this one breathe. Once it opens up it’s a decent wine.
