Collezione Privata Toscana IGT Cabernet Sauvignon

This was very nice but I think I prefer it younger rather than aged.

Boatload of tannins. Franc-ish flavor profile. Brooding bloody ending. I'd like to have some of this in my cellar.

Very good grip and flavor profile. More dense than the California wines.

Dense. Dark. Brooding. Very heavy wine.

Outstanding cabernet, aged well.

This wine is stunning. I’m not sure why the average ratings are as low as they are. The nose was gorgeous, the color was bright and lively as was the fruit on the palate with enough acidity to give this wine a long drinking window.

Gripping tannic and solid dark fruit

2016: Very good Italian Cabernet, drinking young but with solid concentration and balance. Fruit still a bit tart but other flavors are developing and oak is well-integrated. Bit steep at $75 (WL) but only getting better with time.

This had lots of dark cherry, plum fruit, spice & floral that was open & balanced.
