Medium ruby color. Aromas and flavors of black cherry/currant/plum with heavy does of vanilla (makes the wine seem a bit sweet) and baking spices. Touch of freshly turned soil on the finish. Full bodied and rich. Lighter than expected when it comes to acidity. Fresh tasting and quite generous. Revisited in June 2024. More notes of oak (chips) and imitation vanilla. Reducing my rating.
