Tasted blind. Dark purple tawny color. Opaque. A slightly madierized nose. Notes of sauteed black cherries, anise, caramel, some smoke and some vanilla. Nice structure, although lacking in acidity which suggests its old. Interesting wine, drink up.

Cask C-3. Maybe slightly flawed on the nose. A metallic thing. But soon after a lovely balanced and pretty and focused midpalate. Good after the initial thing.
