The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie is showing a much darker and more backward bouquet, as earth tones and smoky minerals give way to woodland berries, white smoke, crushed fall leaves, worn leather, and a hint of licorice. On the palate, I’m finding soft textures with depths of dark red fruits and spice, as savory herbs and mineral tones come forward, overlaying fine tannins. The finish is long, showing its powerful structure, as dried black cherry and inner florals resonate over a core of grippy tannin. Hands off the 2015 Madonna delle Grazie for at least the next three to five years; it’s an epic wine in the making. (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2020)

Among the best Brunello I’ve tasted (and the setting in Tuscany didn’t hurt!) Old saddle leather soaked in red cherry compote and left in the dusty sun to dry. Fantastic. Old skool BdM.

This was a fun wine to drink with our antipasta prior to dinner. The cork was a real chore to pull out but my patience was rewarded and it came out intact. Short decant (under and hour)...and I’m really not sure if a longer one would have really benefitted this bottle which was very good but seems to be on a slow decline. The color is still very much intact and quite dark, actually. Mushrooms, cherries, leather, earth...in that order. Tannins have mostly integrated; still there is structure to keep this together for several years. This could potentially see it’s 20th birthday but I would probably drink’em up before then.

OK, it's one of my most preferred Brunello do Montalcino... Awesome! From one of most important Cru in the area (just north of the village), it sums finesse, character, long finish and elegance. Congrats!

Medium garnet red with brick edges. Nose has notes of red cherries, dark floral notes, earthy characteristics, and dried spices. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Great depth with layers of anise, purple floral notes, dark cherries, and earthy. Balanced acidity with a long and lingering finish. Insanely dry. Drink from 2018 till 2038.
