Super aromatic and distinctly rustic and charming nose of smoke, tar, red cherries and spices. Terrific stuff. Palate is juicy and tannic with lovely cherry fruit and terrific acidic lift. Needs 45 minutes or so to get in it's zone and achieve its balance. Wonderful mouthfeel.

Man, does this drink above its weight. (These are night 2 notes, by the way.) Classic Novarese Neb nose of dark cherry, with a touch of moist earth and beautiful, deep stony minerality. Mouthfilling, with great fruit purity and minerals, soft, mouthcoating tannins, and lively acids. Blind, I would guess a top-flight Gattinara. Great value. Shoulda got more.

Excellent. Complex, balanced and well integrated. Violets and barnyard on the nose. On the palate: dark cherries, rhubarb, violets, earth, tar and smoke. Some minerality. Somewhat short herbaceous finish...still, excellent.

Really nice wine. Fruity with great balance and some acidity asking for another sip. Had with orecchiette with rapini and roasted tomatoes ( among other things) and they were fabulous together. Earthy with a beautiful fruity, sour cherry character.

Wow. Just super clean super concentrated medium cherry with great balancing acidity. Crazy juicy finish. Totally makes you salivate. Plus a hint of spice at the end. Great food wine. A remarkable wine for what it is. Bought from Fass selections.
