The ‘19 is 53% Dolcetto, 44% Barbera, and just 3% Nebbiolo. If you like GD Vajra’s Rosso efforts like me, you will love this wine. Blue fruits and fresh berries abound, you can taste the Dolcetto and Barbera. Probably less Nebbiolo than Vajra to keep things more appealing for American palates? Just a guess… count me in the minority Nebbiolo+ camp. Still, plenty of brightness, low-ish ABV, no faults, and completely gluggable… this is a fun and tasty red. Thank goodness this is possible from plantings in Cali. Drink chilled.

2016, a touch carbonic, pizza wine. Maybe needs time. Day 2, reminded me of a warm vintage blend from Langhe so I like it better than day 1

A big disappointment after the experience with other Idlewild wines.

Such fun. Three different wines over two days: first was gritty and edgy with that sensation Nebbiolo gives your teeth. 8 hours in, it was a ruby-red, violet-laced beauty. Next day secondary flavors dominated, still delicious. Love it.

This one surprised me. Super fresh and racy Italian varieties blend from Mendocino. Fun to drink at Outside Lands.

Beautiful on day one and two. Bright ruby red with a purple hue. Semi-tart on the nose with red cherries and other red fruits. Very complex palate. Tart red berries, very refreshing, and crisp. Moderate acidity that carries throughout the entire body/palate. Light to medium bodied wine. Slightly drying long finish that is light in weight. Loved the tart berries and acidity that carries throughout this wine. Beautifully complex with the slightly dry finish. Drink till 2021.

Floral nose of roses & violets along with some red fruits & anise; nice sour cherry on the palate and finishes with some grip. Hit the spot when looking for a slightly weightier wine for my generally light-wine lovin' palate on this chilly winter night!

Light summer red that starts hard and acidic then opens up beautifully!

Love this savory, juicy Italian inspired red. It's easy but interesting and has some grip.
