I carricante believe how delicious this is at the price. (Pun credit to @Adriana Fabbro). Pale yellow, toasty nuts, lemon zest, honey, dried flowers and hay on the nose, palate is viscous and honeyed but with searing acidity, lemon and chalk, green apple, melon, peach, smoky sage on the back. Just got a couple in and opened one just for the halibut.

Salted melon, pear, sea salt, hay, slightest aldehyde notes alluding to almond skin and fino. Zesty citrus and dried herb in the background. Love the salinity and mineral depth here.

Brilliant Etna Bianco. Really feeling carricante these days. This one especially. Very coastal but with a core of fleshy richness

Quite unique aromatics and flavors, fresh and energetic, tonic, sinewy and herbal.

With Sashi and Raj in Rome. Delicious with mullet/turmeric soup and cauliflower/poached egg. How can a wine have round edges and straight lines at the same time?

Crisp, refreshing, and gorgeous.

Mineral and salinity at the core of this mountain-grown wine; wrapped in a richness that is reminiscent of the lees treatment seen in burgundy but less predictable. There's a ton of other happenings here too - floral, tropical, lychee, pear, citron marmalade- but it's all subtle and integrated. Some of sicily's best at this price. Paired great with some salmon and pesto with hash!

Bright acidity and drenching salinity, with lots of Meyer lemon, thyme and hints of bruised apples. Paired lovely with pappardelle & summer squash sauce.
