Ysabel Carneros Pinot Noir

Rockstar Pinot. One of my absolute favorites from Napa

HDV Ysabel Pinot Noir. (Shut down tonight) This is still rather tight. I would cellar this for a few years. If you open a bottle, decant for a bit. I have a problem… enjoy my Pinots/Chardonnays as a pop & pour🤫Dark plum, cinnamon, bursting in tea. Acid & fruit are still towards the front of the palate. No where near a pop & pour. Thinking it’s going to be sensational ...as it was a few years ago.

Big red fruit on the nose. Definitely Sonoma nose. Pairing this wine stone fish turns this into an elegant earthy terroir driven beauty! Mushrooms and earthy

@Martin G Rivard I think we have had about a case of HDV in the last year or so. Courtesy of Santa Claus himself. Love you man. See you soon! Thinking this wine would be a bit better in a year or so. Most of consumption of these wines are consumed a little early . IMO

This was actually chosen as the wine of the night by a few at our table. However, I must humbly disagree. I think the Alexana Had more going on with a very boisterous flavor profile. However, I would not kick this out of bed for eating crackers! LOL

Really looking forward to seeing the progression of HdV’s pinot noirs and chardonnays. Specifically this, their Sonoma Mountain Pinot Ysabel. Mountain fruit gets all this juice concentration with a presence of minerals that’s seen in this wine. I’m impressed by the winemaker’s ability to showcase all of this tension and strength, but maintain the integrity of how delicate a pinot is meant to be.

Phenomenal example of a Burgundian style Pinot from Napa. Love it!

Drinking this was a very, very bright idea! The 2013 Ysabel Rocks!!!!! “She was a fast machine, she kept her motor clean. She was the best damn Woman I had ever seen! (Next to Christine of course!) 😎👏👏😍😍👏👏😎. “She told me to sip but I was already there!” This really does shake me all night long when I uncork a beauty. I love the nose as much As I do the Palate. I savor the nose as much as the palate. it’s a long and slow courtship throughout the night. On top of that., this baby’s got back!! It’s got it going on!! I like em thick and juicy and if you do then find this juicy bottle. This baby’s got it going on! 😎👏👏😎.

@Martin G Rivard thank you sir- this is the beginning of my comeback from being deprived of wine for almost a week - scary - this wine is one of the best tasting Pinot I ever had - light but definitely not without great taste smell and finish - one of the most drinkable pop and pours I ever had - thanks again Martin

13' Ysabel Pinot Noir / Hyde & De Villaine Families. I just finished up a three hour golf cart tour of Rome. Next time anybody's in Rome please contact me! Four adults & five kids. This is the way to see Rome at night with family! As for the wine…@Martin G Rivard sent me this bottle. It traveled from Sonoma California- South Florida- Northern Virginia- Southern Italy- Consumed in ROME! One of the best bottles of Pinot's I've had out of Sonoma! Highly recommend.
