Belle Cousine Hyde Vineyard Red Blend

Pretty. 2017

Beautiful yet edgy stuff here, didn't expect to be so thrilled by it. Polished plums with bloody butcher's block undertow. Acidity like perfectly executed guitar distortion. A big fan of de Villaine family Bouzeron when in Burgundy for precisely this type of acidity current. Strong memory of seeking the shade in bright sunlight as a child. Poetry huh -must be a good wine... Love the bottle shape between Burgundy and Bordeaux? 2009 vintage

60 merlot 40 cabs from hyde vynd partnershid with aubert de villaine of DRC and his wife pameka Fairbanks only 625 cases

Tried in April 2017 and so complex and compelling!

Very good but their flagship is their Chardonnay and Pinots

Just a bottle of Napa Valley happiness with 70% Merlot and 30% Cab Sauv

Fun wine....

Pulled the cork and it was perfect from the start. Cab, Mer, Malb, Pet Sir, Pet Ver, Cab Fra. Fun blend. A beautiful holiday gift from our dear friend Louise Newquist.

Showing very well.

In a good place. Perfect with tri tip dinner!
