A near perfect wine...smooth and elegant, full bodied with very mellow tannins. A soft finish. Very elegant and totally delicious.

Yup. This happened. My first Hundred Acre and I believe this is the highest rated wine I've posted on here. Last night was the monthly WTF wine group meeting that focused on whites and lighter reds. After most everyone left, Kobi busted this bad boy out!

WOW. If I had to describe this wine in one word, it would be elixir. At pop and pour, this wine was alive with a rush of blue and black fruits, sandalwood and liqueur. As a 2010, the tannins were still very present but in no way harsh. Stunning texture and weight on the palate...toasted oak, milk chocolate, espresso and blueberry explosion. The finish went on for a minute plus. We drank from the decanter over the next hour and all the elements above just increased in intensity.

Who knows when I'll get to try another Hundred Acre (won't be opening mine for a while), but I'll be stoked whenever I get to revisit this amazing wine again.

Again deep and opaque color. Intense nose of dark and red fruit, with hints of blue fruit. Less herbal than the ark, with strong vanilla and caramel. Full body and long finish.

2010 - very young. Needs a lot more age. After a 3 hour decant, the wine was drinking well. Long finish with fluid tannins. Another awesome Hundred Acre!
