A less fruity, more mineral rendition than the norm. Night one it was difficult. Angular with some sour prune flavors, but on night 2 it’s very nice. Nose gives up some ripe, dark, crunchy cherry and tons of limestone minerality. Deeply mineral on the palate, it’s like sucking on a rock drizzled in dry dark cherry extract. Soft tannins leave a nice mouthfeel. Good acids. A character.

Woke up thinking about Bouillabaisse and picked this to pair with it tonight... Lively acidity buoyed by a woody dryness on the finish makes this wine feel short in mouth but lingering in the flavors... dried cherry, strawberry.... such pretty aromatics greet you as this wine opens.

Lovely tannic citrusy (?) smooth and surprisingly structured pinot from sancerre country. An off list offering at a fun offbeat foodie haven in Vero.

Others have commented on the racy acidity. I couldn’t disagree more. That’s exactly what was lacking from my bottle. Nice, light fruit flavor, but flat and flabby and missing the acidity that would take it over the top.

Vin de la Rouges. 2013. Light bodied but very flavorful. Strawberry and raspberry profile. Not overly complex but good summer red.
