Deep blue fruit. Tart on the finish. Impressively fresh

Rich and ripe on the nose, with smooth tannins and notes of licorice and cherry.

1937 vintage - beautiful. Like an eighty-year old woman who runs marathons. Impressive, impeccable condition.

Bright red fruit with more acid and tannin than expected. Better with some more time? My last one so irrelevant to me.

Cinnamon and I took a little drive out to Bresse today in search of poulet and visited the Hospices du Beaune. Bresse chicken, vrai chanterelles and potatoes go together quite well. This was very stylish, young Burgundy with fancy oak and ripe but not at all overripe black fruit. Long finishing classy stuff seems to be the norm here!!

This can age for years and years! Loads of fruit, vanilla and spice. Delicious with plenty of potential. Beautiful balance and long complex finish.
