Very beautiful violet nose. Medium acidity and bright red fruit flavors.

So grateful for Contento NYC’s thoughtful list. Do visit if you come through town

Unexpectedly big wine from Mimi. Let it sit overnight but it really needs more time to reach its full potential

Nice wine from a producer I’ve wanted to try since hearing her on “I’ll drink to that”. But overall (especially for the price) this is somewhat underwhelming. Some nice red fruits - strawberry, a bit of cherry - but the finish is muddled without as much acid to keep this together as you might expect.

Nice red berries on the palate and nose, nice acidity and very fresh and elegant, not too oaky or extracted, good balance and decent finish. 90-91

Fruits rouges, floral aussi au palais comme au nez, belle acidité et fraîcheur, élégant et équilibré, pas trop extrait ou boisé, très bien.

This is Sunday's Child. Opened 12/19/20 with MEL with the Monday and Tuesday Siblings. As previously CVed 3 weeks ago had good structure and dark berries with notes of earth and a bit of funk that's beguiling. Was more of a muscle man compared to Strings. But on 12/21 from Eto it was just delicious and waves of complex notes came forth. Excellent for aging

Cved 10/21/20. Beautiful light red color. Very lively elegant floral young red fruits yet stony notes that changed as I sniffed. A lean athletic elegant acidic texture that continues on to a super lengthy complex finish. Perhaps faded a bit over hours in glass. A young Gelsey Kirkland showing promise. What a wine to go with the Mimi Casteel philosophy and practice! With the effort to obtain from Morrell 65. Best New World Pinot yet, so distinct from the Burgs but equally compelling. Perhaps more so given the effort and youngling vines. One more intact bottle. Be interesting to see how it’ll age. Wow. Next day not much detectable in the empty glass unlike some others with lingering scents.

12.5%. From Mimi Casteel read about her in the NYT - a long article by E. Asimov. Hard to get. Raspberries pomegranate hint of strawberry’s 🍓 Orange 🍊 peel. Pricy 80$!. I prefer a tad more acidity. It just seems the wine falls off over time.
